Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and dedicated individuals for the role of Enrolled Nurse to join Ian Brand Residential Care, Bundoora Centre.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and caring Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join the team at Ian Brand Residential Care, Bundoora Centre - Northern Health.
There are mulitple EN roles available to a total of 2.2 EFT part time and/or full time onging with a flexible rotating roster of (AM, PM & ND)
Ian Brand Residential care is a fully accredited 30 beds public sector Aged Care facility comprising of 18 aged care beds and 12 transition care beds.
Transition Care provides short term support and active management for older people at the interface of the acute/sub-acute and residential aged care sectors. The program is goal orientated, time limited and targets older people at the conclusion of a hospital episode who require more time and support to complete their restorative process, optimise their functional capacity and finalise their longer-term care arrangements.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and good working knowledge of Aged Care Standards
- To be available to work on rotating roster
- Previous experience as Enrolled Nurse in Aged Care, GEM - Subacute, medical
- Experience working with people with a cognitive impairment and challenging behaviours
- Excellent communication, Interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to Quality Improvement
