This Finance Officer will have a leadership role in our Not for Profit, Charity organisation.
This is a part-time position is 24 hours per week, over 3 days. Flexible days work. This role is worked in Mitchelton Office.
The salary advertised is for a full-time role, the salary will be pro-rata for this part-time role. Being Leader - Lead the finance department
You will work autonomously, with senior management team member support. The duties of the Finance Officer includes
Role purpose:
taking a leadership role for INCH’s financial management.
implementing financial and management as per policy and procedures
meeting funding service agreements and other contractual finance obligations
preparing annual financial statements and liaising with external auditors
ensuring Legislative Requirements for a not-for-profit association are met
Processing and management of:
processing and recording accounts payable, payments received and payroll for a small team
recording of general journals monthly, quarterly and annual basis to reflect the requirements of Australian Accounting Standards
regular reconciliations of bank accounts, wages, and other accounts as appropriate
production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the Board which may include financial forecasts and variance analysis as required
Preparation of returns and timely payment for statutory obligations such as BAS, PAYG, FBT, Workcover, QLeave
Coordination and minuting of scheduled Finance and Audit Subcommittee meetings
Preparation for interim and final audit
Liaison with external auditors, funding bodies and other external organisations
Annual update of Financial policy and procedures
Annual mapping changes in legislation and processes for all INCH’s policies
Participating and implementing INCH’s Strategic Goals relating to INCH’s Housing Services.
your must have or obtain before commencement, a Qld Blue Card - approved to work with children.
Salary rates as per SCHAD - Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.
