The City of Mount Gambier has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual who is passionate about working with Youth to join the Mount Gambier Library Team

About the position:

• Part-time, 19 hours per week

• Fixed term – 12 - 24 month contract.

• Competitive remuneration package.

This position supports the Manager Library & Community Development in providing quality library services to the community with a strong focus on customer service and an emphasis on the delivery of Children and Youth Programs and services.

This role will engage and connect youth with Council through the Library and support the delivery of youth programs and events for the community.

This position is required to work school holidays and some out of hours events throughout the year.

This position is classified at Level 2 (currently $38.05 per hour) of the City of Mount Gambier Administration Staff Agreement No.12 2022.

About you:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with and engage youth.

• Ability to lead a group of youth to advocate for the community to Council.

• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

• Ability to develop and deliver a program of activities and one-off events.

• Excellent customer service skills and relevant customer service experience.

• Tech Savvy with the ability to operate a variety of equipment, technologies, software programs and the capacity to learn new technologies.
