About the role

Looking for an experienced Chef/cook to join the Veg Tandoori Master' team in our Surfers Paradise location. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian cuisine to delight our customers. With a focus on vegetarian and vegan dishes, this role is perfect for a passionate chef with experience in Indian flavours and cooking techniques.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, with a focus on vegetarian and vegan cuisine

Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and in a timely manner

Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations

Provide excellent customer service and assist front-of-house staff as needed

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef/cook, with a focus on Indian cuisine.

Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes

Passion for creating delicious, authentic vegetarian and vegan Indian meals.

Food handling and safety certification.
