About the Program
CatholicCare NT (CCNT) is a Territory wide NGO with placed based services across Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Wadeye, Daly River, Tiwi Islands, Jabiru and South East Alice Springs. We provide a broad range of family counselling and support, financial wellbeing, domestic and family violence programs, housing, aged care advocacy, AOD, mental health, employment, and community development programs.
CCNT undertakes several accreditation and registration processes to ensure that it aligns with best practice standards and regulatory body requirements. These processes require preparing evidence of alignment, facilitation of focus groups and oversight of on-site audits.
This position will focus on the National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP) and Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) sitting within the Quality team.
About the Role
The Quality Officer is responsible for providing support to Managers and Aged Care Advocates to enable national consistent implementation of NACAP Requirements.
The Quality Officer will provide support in line with the National aged Care Advocacy Framework, National Minimum Data Set, and all resources on the Advocacy Academy and Aged Care Act hub.
This position will also support Compliance requirements for the CCNT Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) and will be familiar with requirements of other industry standards which are applicable to current CatholicCare NT program delivery.
This position will conduct internal audits to support program compliance and provide evidence of alignment with best practices, including WHS requirements.
What we are looking for
- Relevant qualification and experience
- A minimum of two years experience working in the not for profit, health, aged care, or human services sectors, preferably in NACAP and/ or Aged Care Services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, provide clear and concise reports and data analysis
- Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people
- Experience in developing and implementing quality systems including data management, conducting internal audits, mentoring staff, supporting accreditation and change management processes.
