We are looking for an experienced Cook an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week.

We’re the beer brand born from a Brewpub in Manly beach 17 years ago, so hospitality runs deep in our veins. We’re as passionate about creating vibrant and exciting venues as we are about slinging beers and we’re bringing our love for everything hospo to our mates on the Northern Beaches.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Newport, The Public House menu reflects the craftsmanship of our beers, with an extensive range of Australian sourced produce showcased through hearty flavours, share-style offering, and pub classics.

Our Role:

Work with our passionate kitchen team, crafting delicious dishes that complement our exceptional beers.

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.

Kitchen Management: Contribute to the kitchen operations, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Quality Control: Monitor the taste, texture, and presentation of dishes to maintain the highest culinary standards.

Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control, including ordering and stock rotation.

Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders.

Creativity: Contribute to menu development and special offerings, bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Safety and Hygiene: Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.

About You:

Can-do attitude and positive approach

Good banter and up for a challenge

Sound knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes

Proven experience working in kitchens:

Cert III or higher with at least 2 years full-time work experience OR

At least 3 years experience in a professional kitchen in lieu of formal qualifications
