About the role

The position is responsible for ensuring Operations Centre immediate environment is always presented in a safe, clean and tidy condition, controlling and recording the receiving and dispatching of goods

and supporting inventory management. The position will support the coordination of sourcing,

procurement, and provisioning of goods and materials and take responsibility for the delivery of goods,

materials and work-related packages, and the allocation of space and storage at the Operations Centre.

Key responsibilities
  • Overseeing and assisting in the Operations Centre yard and offices to ensure they are kept clean, tidy, orderly and in a safe operation.
  • Supporting the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of plans, policies and procedures relating to the Operations Centre to ensure safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of the facilities at the Operations Centre to support services delivered from the Centre.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day support of all team’s use of the Operations Centre space
  • Assist with the ordering, systemising, and arranging supplier purchase orders and payments, delivering on customer requests, and maintaining system information.
  • Actively monitor the workplace to determine presence of hazards and take appropriate action report and support the rectification any hazards found.
  • Contribute ideas to the development and improvement of policies and procedures relevant to the Operations Centre.
Skills and experience require to perform the role
  • Trade or TAFE Certificate in logistics, warehousing or supply chain management, or similar with extensive on-the-job experience and learning.
  • Experience working with diverse teams of technical and support staff.
  • Experience in procurement and stores management and coordination.
  • White Card, Victorian Drivers Licence, Forklift Licence, Loader and Medium Rigid Truck Licence.
  • Strong understanding and experience in safe handling of goods and Occupational Health and Safety and Environment (OHS&E) compliance as it applies to depot, yard and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to gain cooperation from others in achieving work objectives and assigned tasks and encourage others to follow site procedures and safety standards.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of stakeholders
