Quality & Safety Officer

Grade 3 | Full-time, Ongoing
Location: Victorian Pride Centre, St Kilda (with travel to other BHN sites as required)

Help shape safer, stronger systems that make a real difference in community health.

At Better Health Network (BHN), we’re dedicated to delivering person-centred, high-quality, and safe care across our integrated services — from allied health and dental to mental health, aged care, and disability.

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Quality & Safety Officer to join our People & Experience Division. If you’re passionate about continuous improvement, thrive on collaboration, and enjoy bringing structure and creativity to your work — this is your opportunity to create lasting impact in a values-driven organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Quality & Safety, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and strengthening BHN’s quality and safety systems.

You will:

  • Coordinate and maintain systems supporting compliance, accreditation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage VHIMS administration, audit schedules, policy libraries, and client feedback processes.
  • Support governance forums, reporting, and improvement projects.
  • Collaborate across teams to embed quality and safety practices into everyday operations.

Every day, you’ll help ensure BHN continues to deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred care to our communities.

About You

You’re organised, proactive, and thrive on detail and teamwork. You’re also someone who brings positivity and energy to everything you do.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in administration, quality, or compliance (health, community, or aged care preferred).
  • Strong understanding of audit and accreditation processes.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Confidence using digital systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, VHIMS).
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.

Join Us!

Be part of an organisation creating positive, lasting impact in local communities.
At BHN, you’ll enjoy:

  • A vibrant and inclusive environment at the Victorian Pride Centre
  • Supportive leadership and ongoing professional development
  • Opportunities to grow your career within a values-based organisation
  • Salary packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay
  • Novated leasing and 17.5% leave loading on annual leave
  • Full-time role with the option of 80 hours per fortnight + monthly ADO
  • Close to public transport and free parking
