About the role

The Student Operations Administration Officer plays a key role in delivering high-level administrative and organisational support to the Apprenticeship Team. This position is responsible for facilitating effective engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Apprentices, Trainees, and Employers.

The Student Operations Administration Officer serves as a key support resource for staff and educators across TAFE Gippsland, providing guidance on apprenticeship and traineeship matters. From initial enquiry through to program completion, the role ensures a consistent focus on delivering a positive and seamless student experience.

What you’ll bring

Demonstrated effectiveness and success in a multi-faceted administration role.

Ability to work in a demanding environment and to plan and prioritise work tasks to ensure timelines are met with a strong student focus and commitment to high quality work.

High level of initiative with an ability to operate positively and flexibly within a team environment and contribute to the prioritisation and achievement of goals and objectives.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels to motivate and gain co-operation from other staff and relevant external contacts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to produce high level and professional documents.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using student management systems to support operational efficiency and data integrity.

Experience in working in education, or the TAFE Sector in administration is highly desirable

Mandatory requirements

Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance

Current Police check (no older than 12 months)

Current Driver’s Licence (some travel between campuses may be required)
