We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established Australian-owned equipment supplier with a strong reputation across the hire and sales of propping systems and temporary works solutions. With sustained growth and an expanding footprint across Australia, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of the North Brisbane territory.
The Role
You’ll focus on driving new business opportunities and managing existing accounts across civil infrastructure, commercial construction, and large-scale projects. You’ll be supported by a dedicated engineering and operations team who understand the nuts and bolts of complex temporary works.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with civil and construction contractors.
Target new projects and identify opportunities for equipment hire and sales.
Manage pricing, proposals, and tender responses with technical team support.
Represent the business with professionalism and technical confidence.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
About You
We’re looking for someone who understands the rhythm of the construction industry and can speak confidently with engineers, site managers, and procurement teams.
You’ll bring:
Proven success in business development or account management within civil or construction sectors.
Technical understanding of propping, shoring, or structural support systems (or similar).
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Self-drive and accountability to manage your own territory.
A current driver’s licence and the ability to cover the North Brisbane region.
This is not a generic sales role. You’ll join a respected and well-supported team where decisions are fast, projects are complex, and your contribution directly shapes growth in the QLD market.
On Offer
Base salary of $110k - $120k
Super at 12%
