We are looking for an experienced and passionate Venue Manager with a strong background in restaurant or bar operations to lead our dynamic team at The Avenue, conveniently located next to Chatswood Train Station for easy access.
As Venue Manager, you will work closely with the Operations Manager, taking full responsibility for the venue in their absence. You'll bring leadership, creativity, and a hands-on approach to delivering a premium casual dining and beverage experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of both restaurant and bar in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Manage daily reservations: check bookings, respond to reservation requests, and ensure smooth guest experiences.
- Ensure the highest standards of food and beverage service, maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Supervise, motivate, and support team members to deliver consistent excellence.
- Lead by example with a hands-on management style.
- Manage F&B ordering, stock control, and cost management (including food, beverage, and payroll).
- Monitor daily/weekly sales, expenses, and profits; assist in budget planning and reporting.
- Conduct staff training and development to maintain high service standards and team growth.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and maintain positive external relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Assist with menu and beverage innovation, providing feedback to enhance guest experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Restaurant or Bar Manager role within a premium, high-performing venue.
- Strong operational knowledge of food and beverage service, hospitality standards, and current industry trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure.
- Proven ability to lead, delegate, and problem-solve effectively.
- Creative flair and passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
- Positive attitude, integrity, and strong sense of accountability.

- RSA Certificate - Essential
- Full working rights in Australia - Essential
- First Aid Certificate - Preferred
- Australian Food Safety Certificate - Preferred
- Flexibility to work across days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
