Our client is a national importer and distributor of premium decorative building products. They enjoy strong brand recognition in both the domestic and commercial markets and their reputation has been established through their ability to supply premium European brands with outstanding customer service.

Internally they provide a culture that fosters progressive thought and a more consultative approach to their customers. Externally, they are looking to build more meaningful relationships with their client base, and they are now looking for an experienced business developer to join their commercial sales team and drive sales growth through project builders & architectural specification and commercial reseller relationships.

Reporting to the State Manager (VIC), you will be responsible for:

· Securing new business through the commercial project channel – with a focus on medium-high density residential

· Building strong working relationships with architects, designers, builders & developers

· Managing key merchant / reseller customers in the project space

· Driving premium brand sales growth at premium price points

· Management & follow up of projects through to completion

· Manage and coach one direct report

This is an important role for the business, and we are looking for someone with a successful history in growing sales through the Project Builders sector. The right cultural fit is imperative for this role and, as such, you will need to be driven, energetic, self-motivated and enjoy working with high quality brands. You will be well organised, proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to communicate with all types of customers within the project specification market.

Most of all, you will enjoy working in the project space, you will be well connected across all channels of the market including key project builders (medium-high density residential especially), developers, the broader A&D community, key commercial resellers and you will have a passion for quality products.
