Yilka Heritage and Land Care (YHLC) is a subsidiary of Yilka Talintji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (YTAC) assisting the Yilka native title holders in their corporate governance; cultural and heritage protection; land management and ranger program operations; fee-for-service activities; and other related matters.
YHLC are seeking a motivated and adaptable Administration Officer to join our team. This busy and rewarding role supports the team in a range of administrative, logistical, and operational tasks including assisting with mail outs, updating member records, preparing board packs, coordinating calendars, arranging staff and consultant travel planning and bookings, raising purchase orders, attending meetings and minute taking, and ensuring vehicle maintenance and equipment logs are up to date.
The successful person will be based in East Perth with occasional travel to Cosmo Newberry Aboriginal Community.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clear information to staff, members and stakeholders.
• An ability to work effectively within small teams
• Demonstrated self-motivation with initiative.
• problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on multiple logistics tasks/meetings simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications (including Teams).
• Experience in dealing with sensitive and challenging public enquiries by telephone and face to face, in a courteous and helpful manner.
• An ability to travel to Cosmo Newberry Aboriginal Community and for meetings and projects as and when required.
• A current and valid Australian manual driver’s licence not essential but is desired.

The salary range offered is between $66,000 to $74,000 per annum plus superannuation depending on skills and experience. As a not-for-profit, YHLC offers salary packaging, which can boost your take-home pay by reducing taxable income.
