About the opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll be a key part of BHAC’s senior leadership team — leading all aspects of People & Culture. This isn’t just about maintaining systems; it’s about creating strong foundations, driving positive change, and resolving complex HR challenges with confidence and care.

You’ll:

Develop and implement modern HR frameworks, policies, and processes

Guide and coach managers through performance, conduct, and workforce matters

Lead EBA negotiations and advise on Fair Work and National Employment Standards compliance

Resolve complex employee relations issues with professionalism, empathy, and fairness

Build a culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and accountability

Drive continuous improvement through smarter HR systems and data-led insights

This is a role for someone ready to own their portfolio, make tough calls, and lead with integrity — while knowing their work directly supports a community’s future.

About you

You’re experienced, approachable, and solutions-focused — a trusted advisor who thrives on variety and purpose.

You’ll bring:

Degree in Human Resources or related discipline

3–5 years’ experience in a P&C Manager or Senior HR role

Proven ability to navigate complex HR issues, including enterprise agreements, Fair Work, and NES compliance

Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage across all levels

Experience creating HR frameworks and improving policy and process

Confident use of HR systems (ELMO experience highly regarded)

Current driver’s licence

Highly regarded:

Experience working with Aboriginal or remote community organisations

Prior team leadership experience

Mandatory checks:

NT WWCC - Ochre Card (or ability to obtain)

National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
