About the role
Looking for caring and reliable support workers to assist a friendly client with Cerebral Palsy. Enjoy meaningful work providing personal care, light domestic help, and companionship through games and conversation.

• Provide personal care and transfer support, including showering assistance, manual handling, and physically washing where required
• Assist with domestic tasks such as changing bed sheets, doing laundry, cleaning the bathroom, and light meal preparation
• Support the client with mobility needs, including safe transfers and outings using his wheelchair for community engagement
• Create a warm, engaging environment by playing games like dominoes and chatting about current events during downtime
• Work in a pleasant, respectful home environment, offering both physical assistance and social companionship

Schedule Overview (2 Support Workers):

• o 2 hours each day for both workers (working together)
• o On Fridays, one worker will stay for an additional 1-hour Domestic Assistance shift (total of 3 hours for that worker)

• Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
• Start Time: Flexible – either 9:00 AM or 9:30 AM

About you

• Experienced with manual handling and mobility support, preferably with clients who have Cerebral Palsy or similar physical disabilities
• Mature and reliable, with a respectful, person-centred approach to care
• Friendly and engaging, someone who enjoys a chat, a game, and treating the client with genuine warmth and respect
• Able to work independently with strong domestic skills and a good eye for cleanliness and order
• Present and attentive, not distracted by phones, and comfortable providing both care and conversation
