Help shape a safer, healthier workplace and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. We're seeking a passionate WHS Officer to support and lead safety initiatives across our mental health services at Richmind WA.

You will:

Be a key part of our supportive team, driving proactive, practical, and people-focused WHS practices:
  • Champion and further embed WHS frameworks and compliance across the organisation.
  • Coordinate incident investigations and drive follow-up actions.
  • Empower HSRs with training and ongoing support.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, WHS inductions and training.
  • Oversee psychosocial safety initiatives, identification and review.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure audit, reporting and WHS records.
  • Manage site safety at Cannington and support other service locations.
  • Collaborate with Facilities and Assets to ensure contractor safety and site readiness
  • Lead business continuity and emergency preparedness drills

About You

What you will bring to the role:

  • A Cert IV (or higher) in WHS, demonstrating your commitment to WHS in the workplace
  • A current National Police Clearance (under 6 months) and driver’s licence.
  • At least two years of WHS experience, ideally in community or human services.
  • A good grasp on psychosocial hazards and risk management.
  • Confident with audits, compliance systems, and continuous improvement.
  • Solid knowledge of WHS laws, and how to apply them in a work environment.
  • Great with people—you know how to collaborate, influence, and get things done.
  • Super organised, detail-focused, and reliable.
  • Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable.
  • Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress and the ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions.

This role is full-time working Monday to Friday, based in Cannington.
