The WHS Advisor will play a critical role in ensuring workplace health and safety compliance across a diverse community services organisation. This role involves a mix of hands-on safety activities, along with assisting with the implementation of broader safety and risk management systems and practices.

Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective risk management strategies are in place.
- Deliver WHS training and provide guidance to staff and management.
- Monitor and report on compliance with WHS regulations and internal policies.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures to minimise risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of WHS activities, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice on workplace health and safety matters to management and staff.
Profile
A successful WHS Advisor should have:
- Formal qualifications in WHS
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and industry standards in Australia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in assessing risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Ability to lead WHS training sessions and promote safety awareness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate incidents effectively.
