We are expanding the Finance Team in the Sydney office based in Wetherill Park and we are looking for a well-rounded and experienced Accounts Assistant to help with the day-to-day finance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

· Assist with month-end closing activities

· Prepare and post journals accurately

· Support IAS/BAS/PAYG preparation

· Bank and credit card reconciliations

Accounts Payable:

· Accurate data entry

· Assist with accounts payable processes

· Assist with supplier credit applications

· Prepare bank transfers and credit card payments

Payroll:

· Process/Support fortnightly payroll accurately and on time

Administrative Support:

· Provide general administrative support, including data entry, and ad-hoc tasks

· Answer internal and external queries professionally

· Liaise with operational staff to resolve queries and support smooth operations

· Collaborate with the finance team on daily activities and special projects

· Update and maintain our vehicle fleet database

About You:

You’re an enthusiastic, detail-focused team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll bring:

· At least 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or Assistant Accountant roles

· Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software systems (e.g. Microsoft products and Xero)

· Experience with payroll processing

· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

· Job based or project-based accounting experience would be beneficial
