The Role
As the Finance Analyst, you’ll provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting that informs decision-making at both strategic and operational levels. You’ll take ownership of delivering high-quality management reporting, analysis, and insights. This hands-on role also supports budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, helping to shape the organisation’s financial future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support strategic and project decisions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely end-of-month reports, reconciliations, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Support the development and review of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyse P&L and GL-level data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Monitor financial risks and opportunities, recommending improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with project and operational teams to provide financial advice and guidance.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
  • Drive process improvements and automation in reporting and analysis.

The Candidate
To be successful, you will be CA/CPA qualified or currently completing and have commenced your career in a Chartered environment. You will be a commercially astute finance professional who thrives on analysing complex data to generate actionable insights. You combine strong technical accounting knowledge with advanced Excel and modelling capability and are comfortable engaging across all levels of the business. A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and the ability to manage competing priorities are key to your success. Experience within infrastructure, engineering, construction, or project-based environments highly regarded but not essential.

The Organisation
Our client is an infrastructure business with a $400 million turnover and play a key role in driving financial performance across a diverse portfolio of complex projects. They are dedicated to making a genuine difference in people’s lives by supporting and empowering communities through delivering meaningful programs and services.
