Job Overview

Our client is a leading provider of premium tiles and surfaces, known for their contemporary designs, quality craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service. Based in Kings Park, Sydney, they partner with architects, designers, builders, and homeowners to create inspired interior and exterior spaces.

Due to an increase in business activities, we are seeking a Showroom Consultant who is passionate about design, customer service, and delivering memorable showroom experiences. This role, supporting the Sales and Operations team, is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, creative and customer service-driven environment. The roles primary focus is to help commercial and retail customers bring their vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Welcome and assist walk-in clients, interior designers, architects, and builders.
• Support Senior Sales Consultants: Provide end-to-end administration and sales support to Senior Consultants and the management team.
• Showroom Presentation: Maintain a high standard of showroom display, ensuring samples and merchandising reflect current trends and brand aesthetics.
• Quoting & Sales Administration: Prepare quotations, process sales orders, follow up on enquiries, and manage customer communication from initial consultation to after-sales service.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers, builders, and design professionals to encourage ongoing business.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and delivery, and update customers on expected ETA's.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on new product ranges, materials, and design trends.
• Sales & Product Consultation: Develop the skills required to guide customers through tile selections, finishes, and colour schemes to suit their project requirements and budgets.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a showroom, retail design, interiors sales, or trade sales environment (tiles, flooring, kitchen/bathroom, or furniture industry highly regarded).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• Ability to manage multiple client enquiries and maintain strong attention to detail (producing quotes, purchase orders, pricing updates, updating the project database and Excel spreadsheets)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM or Project Sales processing systems.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and professionally presented.
