The Role
Are you a highly organised professional with a passion for driving successful IT projects? We’re seeking an enthusiastic IT Project Coordinator to support the delivery of key initiatives aligned with our organisation’s strategic and operational IT goals.
Working closely with the IT Project Manager and IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating infrastructure and application projects that meet business needs, adhere to timelines, and uphold high standards of quality and value.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of project plans and schedules, ensuring that project milestones are clearly defined.
- Track the progress of IT projects and report any issues or delays to the IT Project Manager, and provide regular status reports to Head of IT
- Support the project team to achieve project deliverables within deadlines by applying key project management principles: effective communication, structured planning, understanding scope, time management, risk assessment, monitoring progress, and a focus on delivering value and quality.
- Coordinate project resources for multiple IT projects
- Manage relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, external vendors and project delivery partners
- Manage all project documentation.
- Organise and attend project meetings as required, and coordinate project communications.
This is a Permanent, Full- time position (38 hours per week) based in our State Administration Office in South Brisbane. This role offers hybrid work arrangements.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Qualification in Project Management or relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience working in IT infrastructure and application projects as a coordinator or a non-technical facilitation role is highly regarded.
- Prince2 or equivalent formal Project Management industry recognised certification highly desired, but not essential
- Experience and confidence engaging with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- 3 years demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects and application projects in a state-wide organisation with multi-layered key stakeholders
