The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Data Solution Designer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data solutions as the organisation transitions from SQL Server to Azure Databricks. This role sits within the Data Foundation Chapter, responsible for a unified Common Data Model and modern data architecture, reporting to the Chapter Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Lead solution design for data assets: ETL/ELT frameworks, ingestion, processing, and data models.

Develop and maintain data design standards, CI/CD practices, and governance across multiple value streams (e.g., Claims, Underwriting).

Collaborate with IT architecture, data, and platform teams to align solutions with enterprise architecture.

Provide technical mentorship and thought leadership to data engineering squads.

Contribute to real-time integration, ML/AI, and modern data delivery solutions.

About You

8+ years' experience in enterprise-scale data architecture and solution design.

Expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks, data pipelines, and modelling.

Proven experience with Azure, Databricks, and cloud data platforms.

Hands-on with Microsoft Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI).

Strong knowledge of data quality management and the end-to-end data lifecycle.

Experienced in Agile delivery and leading technical teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
