The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Venue Manager to lead the overall operations of Prison Island Brisbane. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee daily business functions, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure the venue runs smoothly, safely, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Team Leadership:

Oversee all aspects of venue operations, including customer experience, staffing, safety, and facility maintenance.

Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors and customer experience attendants.

Manage staff rosters, performance, and development to maintain a high-performing team.

Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety regulations and company policies.

Customer Experience & Sales:

Maintain exceptional guest service standards, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.

Drive revenue through effective promotion of group bookings, events, and special experiences.

Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.

Oversee bookings, payments, and customer inquiries (online, phone, and in-person).

Financial & Administrative Management:

Manage daily financial operations, including cash handling, reporting, and stock control.

Monitor budgets, expenses, and profitability, identifying opportunities for growth.

Coordinate with marketing teams to boost promotions and increase foot traffic.

Maintain inventory for retail, bar, and game equipment.

Facility & Safety Management:

Ensure the venue is clean, well-maintained, and meets safety standards.

Oversee the setup, maintenance, and functionality of game zones and equipment.

Conduct regular safety checks and staff training on emergency procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Venue Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar leadership role in entertainment, hospitality, or leisure.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Experience in customer service, sales, and financial management.

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and peak holiday periods.

A passion for creating fun, engaging, and safe guest experiences.
