Assistant Venue Manager

About the Role

As Assistant Venue Manager, you’ll work closely with the Venue Manager to help oversee the day-to-day running of the venue. From team support to customer service, stock control to compliance—you’ll play a key role in ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations of the tavern to ensure a high standard of service and efficiency

Support and help lead the team, contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture

Assist with staff training, rostering, and day-to-day supervision

Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and stock control to reduce waste and maintain supply

Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and care

Step up to lead the venue in the absence of the Venue Manager

What You’ll Bring

Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a tavern, bar, or hospitality venue

Strong communication and leadership skills

Organised, reliable, and able to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment

A passion for delivering great service and creating memorable customer experiences

Availability to work across a flexible 5-day roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

WA Approved Manager’s Card

FoodSafe Supervisor Certificate
