Elizabeth Andrews Catering is one of Melbourne’s leading corporate and event caterers. We’re looking for an experienced Event Chef (HIGA Level 5) to join our production kitchen team and help deliver exceptional food experiences for our clients — both in-house and at offsite events.
About the Role
You’ll work in our West Melbourne production kitchen preparing high-quality food for events, then take the lead on-site to execute service at client venues. This role is ideal for a qualified chef who enjoys variety, teamwork, and delivering food that makes a lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook event menu items to a high standard in our production kitchen
· Lead or assist with offsite event setups and food service
· Maintain food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
· Work collaboratively with the events and logistics teams
· Ensure smooth pack-downs and kitchen resets post-event
What We’re Looking For
· Trade qualification (Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
· Experience in event or catering kitchens (corporate or private)
· Strong time management and presentation skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Current Food Handlers Certificate (Food Safety Supervisor preferred)
The Details
· Classification: Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009] – Level 5 (Cook – Trade Qualified)
· Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, start finish times may vary based on Event Schedule
· Location: West Melbourne production kitchen and various event venues
