The Role
Reporting to the Divisional Manager, Risk & Internal Audit, the Enterprise Risk & Governance Manager will lead a team of dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality risk and governance services that support the achievement of Yarra Valley Water's 2030 strategic objectives.
As the 2IC to the Divisional Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and strengthening the organisation's risk culture and ensuring that risk considerations are embedded in decision-making at every level of the business.

Your key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of risk and governance professionals.
- Implement and manage the risk management system and user group.
- Maintain strategic and operational risk registers and support risk reporting.
- Promote a positive risk culture across the organisation.
- Provide expert advice on risk, governance, and insurance matters.
- Support corporate insurance placement and manage ad hoc insurance needs.
- Oversee internal audits, ensure corrective actions are tracked and closed.
- Manage key governance tools, including the Governance Register and controlled documents.
- Facilitate risk workshops and contribute to board and executive reporting.
- Oversee business resilience, ensuring continuity and recovery plans are in place.
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated people leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience with embedding a positive risk culture
- Demonstrated experience with preparing papers for the board and executive
- Experience with all types of corporate insurance
- Experience with developing internal audit programs
- Experience with Business Partnering with a key focus on building relationships internally and externally
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Risk Management, Compliance or other relevant qualification
