This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to step into a high-impact role supporting executive decision-making and shaping the financial strategy of a growing retail business.

The Role

Reporting directly to the GM Finance, this position will lead a small team (2 direct reports) and play a pivotal role in delivering commercial insights that drive business performance. Acting as a true strategic partner, you will work closely with senior leaders across the Group, including Managing Directors and the Group CEO, to influence decisions that maximise profitability, improve margins, and drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the commercial finance function and managing a high-performing team.
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders across Retail, Supply Chain, IT, and Store Development.
• Delivering financial analysis, insights, and reporting to inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Driving budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
• Identifying opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimisation.
• Supporting the Group's finance strategy and contributing to long-term planning.

About You

This role will suit a commercially minded finance professional with strong retail sector experience and a track record of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders. It's an excellent step-up opportunity for a Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner or Finance Manager ready to broaden their leadership scope.

• CA/CPA qualification with a tertiary degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• Proven commercial finance experience within a retail or consumer environment.
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing or mentoring teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical ability.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to "see the big picture" while remaining detail-oriented.
