Tranex Solar is a market-leading Balance of Plant (BoP) Contractor specialising in the construction of utility-scale solar farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Australia. We are seeking a driven and ambitious Operations Manager to join our Melbourne office in Tullamarine. This is a pivotal role with full P&L accountability and oversight of project performance, commercial outcomes, and operational delivery.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of Tranex Solar’s projects and operations. This role requires a balance of commercial acumen, project oversight, and strong leadership to ensure profitable, safe, and efficient project outcomes.

You will:

Hold full P&L accountability for operational performance across multiple projects.

Provide strategic oversight of all active projects, ensuring safety, quality, and financial targets are achieved.

Lead commercial management functions, including contract negotiation, cost control, forecasting, and risk management.

Drive operational efficiency through strong systems, reporting, and team leadership.

Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Report regularly to the Managing Director on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful long-term partnerships.

Champion continuous improvement across safety, engineering, and operational delivery.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
