Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a supportive finance team and take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing. This role ensures all staff are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with relevant legislation and enterprise agreements. 6 Month FTC. Hybrid Working.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all staff, ensuring compliance with tax, superannuation, and EBA requirements.

Maintain and reconcile payroll systems, ensuring accurate time and attendance records.

Prepare payroll reports, journals, and statutory returns including PAYG and superannuation.

Handle payroll queries with professionalism and confidentiality.

Support audits, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.

About You

Minimum 5 years’ experience in full-function Australian payroll.

Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and termination/leave calculations.

Proficient with payroll systems (Micropay, ConnX or similar).

Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and time management.

Clear and confident communication skills.

Intermediate Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliation, reporting).
