Leading financial services institution on the lookout for a Payroll Officer to join the business. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies. A key requirement is hands-on experience using the PayGlobal payroll system.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in a team of 3, you are responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for 1200 staff on a fortnightly/monthly basis using PayGlobal.
• Maintain employee records, including new starters, terminations, and variations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, tax legislation, and superannuation requirements.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including leave balances, PAYG, and superannuation contributions.
• Handle payroll queries promptly and professionally.
• Support year-end payroll processes (PAYG summaries, STP finalisation, etc.).
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data integrity and smooth workflow.
• Assist in process improvements and payroll system enhancements.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role.
• Mandatory experience using the PayGlobal system.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation, and tax obligations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate Excel and general systems capability.
