Successful candidates will be able to work flexibly within our roster which includes weekends and public holidays.

The ideal candidates will have minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, however being a dish washer may not require any experience, but need to be able to be fast in the busy restaurant.

ÂPÉ Yakitori Bar – brought to you by the people behind Nagisa Japanese Restaurant, will be focusing on local produce cooked over Japanese Binchotan (white charcoal burner).

A high emphasis on quality and presentation must run through your veins along with motivational leadership skills to coordinate a busy & motivated team.

ÂPÉ Yakitori Bar will be an exciting and unique South American/Japanese dining experience by the water in Newcastle.

‘ÂPÉ’ is the Ainu word for fire. Often classed as a God in Japanese culture, fire is in the centre of the home, where the “irori” cooking is done, meals are served, and the family congregate. The embers are kept going all night so that God is always in the ‘irori’ and watching over the people. Fire and irori are at the heart of everything associated with our new restaurant.

Remuneration is based on award levels and is negotiable based on experience and performance.
