WHS Advisor – Highway Upgrade Project (Beerwah Region)

Up to $65 per hour | Major Civil Infrastructure Project | Contract position with potential to be full time permanent

An opportunity is available for an experienced WHS Advisor to join a leading construction contractor near Beerwah, QLD. This role will see you supporting site operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across all project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
• Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Support supervisors and engineers in maintaining compliance with ISO 45001 and legislative requirements.
• Undertake site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Liaise with project management and client representatives to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

About You:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (Diploma highly regarded).
• Must be local to drive in/out
• Previous experience in civil construction or road infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of Queensland WHS legislation and site-based safety systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence safe work behaviours.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader project team.
