Infrastructure Advisor – Facilities & Asset Management

A large Queensland Government department is seeking an Infrastructure Advisor to provide high-quality advice and consultancy services across facilities planning, investment, and asset management. This role works closely with schools, regional centres, and senior management to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and aligned with strategic infrastructure priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver client-focused facilities services and advice to staff across schools, regional centres, and educational facilities.
  
  
• Provide high-level advice and support on facilities planning, investment, and asset management issues.
  
  
• Manage the delivery of capital works, maintenance, and facilities services in line with scope, budget, and timelines.
  
  
• Prepare reports, briefing materials, and ministerial responses as required.
  
  
• Collaborate with regional facilities teams, central services, and external providers to deliver quality outcomes.
  
  
• Conduct operational audits of physical assets and recommend improvements.
  
  
• Support the professional development of regional staff in relevant competencies.
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in facilities planning, investment, or asset management.
  
  
• Experience managing capital works, maintenance, or infrastructure services.
  
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide sound advice and recommendations.
  
  
• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  
  
• Experience preparing high-quality reports, briefings, and correspondence.
