UHY is a firm of 9,500 staff in 100 Offices. Our office in Melbourne is a boutique Chartered Accounting and Advisory firm based in South Yarra. We have a broad range of clients in diverse industries. Two partners and a team of 15. We are looking to hire two new Business Services Accountants who are keen to progress their career and be part of a strong team.

Job tasks and responsibilities

To be one of the successful candidates you will need to demonstrate that you have the skills, experience and ability to work as an accountant in a challenging team that strives for perfection and job satisfaction. The role includes taxation and accounting for SME clients in a broad range of industries as well as HWI.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will typically have the following:

a minimum of 3 years prior work experience in an Australian Chartered Accounting/CPA firm is a prerequisite for this position.

You are able to complete a range of income tax returns unsupervised.

You have an unsurpassed drive to learn under outstanding managers and truly advance your career.

a desire to provide awesome client service.

exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

working knowledge of taxation legislation

Salary is commensurate with your experience, your drive and enthusiasm.

To be considered for these positions you will need to have excellent written and oral English communication skills, outstanding attention to detail and a passion to succeed. You have worked for at least two years in an AUSTRALIAN PUBLIC PRACTICE FIRM.
