Location: Cannon Hill, Brisbane

Type: One day per week (Thursday or Friday), 8:30am-5pm

Pay: $40 an hour plus super

Black Raven Media is one of Brisbane’s most innovative activation and ambient media agencies with a passion for creating impactful and successful campaigns for our clients. We regularly work with blue chip clients including Subway, Containers For Change, Flight Centre and the Queensland Government.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer / Bookkeeper to join our team and look after administrative and financial operations. This is a one day per week position, suited to someone who is diligent, hardworking and motivated. Our office is based in Cannon Hill, however the job will have flexibility to work from home for the right person.

Your role will consist of the following:

General bookkeeping/payroll:

Prepare payroll, superannuation, tax and entitlements accurately and on time.

Manage timesheets and leave

Maintain employee records using Employment Hero HR & Payroll

Support onboarding/offboarding, contracts, compliance checks and induction admin

Provide payroll guidance to staff and managers

Invoicing (Xero)

Accounts payable and receivable

Reconciliation of accounts in Xero

Bank & credit card reconciliation

Insurance and work cover (keeping up to date)

General admin which may include:

Travel bookings

Errands (storage shed, shops, etc.)

Sourcing quotes and ordering items

Liaising with councils to secure permits (risk assessments, site plans, etc.)

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years' experience in a payroll and/or bookkeeping role

Have experience in a fast-paced administrative and/or client service environment

Have exceptional communication skills and attention to detail

Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands

Be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

Hold a provisional or open Australian drivers license and access to a vehicle
