Role Overview

As part of a small team, the Payroll Officer will fulfil the duties of day to day operations relating to all aspects of Payroll for the Dowdens Group and its respective branches. Based from our Mackay head office, this position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high organisational and time management skills.

Enjoy a long weekend, Every weekend! Part time, 4 day work week - Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

Weekly payroll processing for all employees across the Dowdens Group aligned to relevant awards and / or Dowdens Enterprise Agreement

Maintenance of employee payroll records and deductions

End of month reconciliation and disbursement of payments

Upload Superannuation monthly to clearing house

Monthly payroll tax calculations and payments

Eligibility

Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll position, ideally for 70+ employees

Knowledge of payroll systems

Experience with STP2 and Q Leave an advantage

High attention to detail and confidentiality is essential
