Our client is a nationwide provider of specialist design, construction and fit out solutions to a highly profitable market in Australia. They have a track record of successfully completing projects across Australia and continue to reinforce their position as a design and market leader in their field. There is a well-established and collaborative internal design team of nine currently, creating fantastic workplaces for clients.

Due to a sustained increase in the number of projects, we have been exclusively engaged to recruit a talented and creative Project Architect to join the team at this exciting time and take responsibility for the entire design process for clients. This is a full time, permanent role and there is substantial opportunity for growth within the business as it expands into new markets.

Specific duties will involve.

Provide architectural designs for construction and fit-out projects across Australia. Manage projects across all stages from concept design to full construction documentation.

Internal and external concept development, including architectural plans, floor plans and associated services with a focus on quality design.

Producing documentation throughout the design delivery process.

Work with the Design Director to ensure accuracy and quality of project designs and documentation packs for the internal construction team.

Using revit.

Maintain and develop client relationships. Coordinate and attend client meetings. Present documentation packages for client review.

Liaise with external consultants, engineers and project managers. Prepare and submit detailed designs to local authorities.

This is a key role in the business and as such would most likely appeal to an architect with 6 years or more of quality architectural experience gained in Australia. The remuneration on offer will align with your experience but is expected to be in the region of $90K to $120K plus super.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate.

Degree or higher tertiary education in architecture.

6+ years of quality architectural experience gained in Australia. Architectural experience for retail, commercial, industrial, office, education or healthcare projects will be especially of interest.

Proven ability to work with the builder on design and construct projects. Demonstrated capability to ensure project designs are accurate and ready to be built.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced work environment.

Advanced skills and experience with Revit.

Good understanding of relevant building codes and regulations in Australia.

Eligibility to work within Australia.

The role will be based at the Melbourne office close to Southern Cross station with weekly/fortnightly work from the Geelong office. There will be occasional travel to client locations across Victoria/Australia.
