About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join our team in Maddington, Western Australia. This role is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As the Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transport and logistics business, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of our services.

What you'll be doing

Manage and coordinate all operational activities, including scheduling and maintenance of long distance freight movements

Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our vehicle fleet and ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory and accreditation requirements such as HACCP, WAHVA.

Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns and maintain strong relationships

Analyse operational data and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Develop and implement strategies to optimise workflows and enhance productivity

Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management

Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of key performance indicators and operational metrics

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior operations or logistics management role within the transport and logistics industry

Strong understanding of transport and logistics operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and fleet management

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement practical solutions

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Proficient in data analysis and the use of relevant software and systems to drive operational efficiency

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams

Relevant tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field would be highly regarded

Strong computer skills, advance Excel skills and use of CMS applications, MT Data or similar.
