Permit Coordinator – Planning and Building Permits

• Join a small, close-knit team where collaboration and communication are

everything

• $80K–$90K + Super (based on experience)

• Macedon Ranges – Family-owned business with a big reputation

About the Company

Established in 1975, Our Client is a family-owned business based in the

Macedon Ranges, dedicated to delivering high-quality sheds and seamless

customer experiences.

From humble beginnings building for local farmers, Our Client has grown into a

trusted, multi-industry company supplying and installing sheds right across

Victoria. Their success is built on honesty, trust, teamwork, and attention to

detail — the same values that continue to drive their business today.

Their philosophy is simple:

 Make it easy – handle every step, so clients enjoy a seamless

experience.

 Put clients first, always – their vision is at the heart of everything they

do.

 Work together – through clear communication and team accountability.

If you want to be part of a team that values relationships as much as results,

this is where you belong.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Permit Coordinator to join our client’s

collaborative and energetic team.

This pivotal role manages the end-to-end process of both Planning and

Building Permits, ensuring every project moves from concept to construction

efficiently and compliantly. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants,

surveyors, councils, and internal teams to ensure all documentation is

accurate, complete, and on time.

You’ll also play a vital role in driving project completion and company revenue

— because every permit you manage keeps projects moving and contributes

directly to our client’s success.

This role suits someone who thrives in a small, hands-on environment where

communication, accountability, and teamwork matter.

Key Responsibilities

 Prepare, lodge, and track Planning and Building Permit applications,

including all related documentation.

 Liaise with councils, building surveyors, engineers, consultants, and

clients to ensure timely approvals.

 Review technical drawings and site plans to ensure compliance with

Domestic Building Regulations.

 Maintain accurate project records and proactively manage permit status

updates.

 Identify issues early, provide solutions, and help keep projects on

schedule.

 Support continuous improvement of permit processes to make things

easier and more efficient.

About You

You’ll bring:

 Proven experience with Planning and Building Permits, including

working with councils and building surveyors.

 Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at

once.

 Exceptional communication skills and a genuine desire to support clients

and team members.

 A proactive, growth mindset — always looking for better ways to get

things done.

 Accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation.

 A customer-first approach and a commitment to teamwork.

 Experience in the Domestic Building or Building Surveying industry

(highly regarded).

Why You’ll Love It Here

 Be part of a small, supportive, and collaborative team where your work

truly matters.

 Enjoy job security in a long-standing, trusted family business.

 Work Monday to Friday with flexibility and autonomy.

 Make a direct impact on project outcomes — and company revenue —

through your role.

 Be surrounded by people who care, communicate openly, and celebrate

team success.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you’re ready to join a team where your expertise and initiative are valued —

and you want to be part of a business that truly lives its values — we’d love to

hear from you.
