The Opportunity:

  • Full-Time | Fixed-Term contract of employment until 31 December 2026.
  • EM1 $125,131 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading.
  • Drummond Street Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.

At Holmesglen’s Centre for Energy and Infrastructure, we’re powering Australia’s future workforce through cutting-edge training in the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) and major infrastructure projects like tunnelling. Now under refreshed leadership, our Safety and Industrial Skills department is driving innovation in civil construction, traffic management, and specialist safety training—covering everything from plant and equipment operations to high-risk licences such as confined space, working at heights, dogging, rigging, and crane operations. Designed with industry, our programs equip students with the critical skills to keep infrastructure strong, safe, and future-ready.

The Education Manager leads the Safety and Industrial skills programs at Holmesglen Institute, providing educational leadership, ensuring compliance with training and safety standards, driving strategic and operational objectives, and fostering strong industry partnerships to enhance program delivery aligned with sector needs.

In this position, you will play a key role in building and strengthening industry partnerships, keeping programs relevant to evolving sector needs, and contributing to Holmesglen’s reputation for innovation and excellence in vocational education.

As an Education Manager, you will:

  • Lead the design, development and delivery of high-quality, industry-relevant programs.
  • Supervise and support teaching and administrative staff to achieve educational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with ASQA, funding and Holmesglen quality assurance standards.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with industry to enhance program outcomes.
  • Oversee curriculum development, validation, and continuous improvement processes.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teaching teams and educational operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of VET sector standards, compliance, and quality frameworks.
  • Proven experience in curriculum design, program delivery and industry engagement.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and digital literacy skills.
  • Relevant vocational or tertiary qualification, plus an AQF5/6 in adult or vocational education, or a secondary teaching qualification with one of the skillsets: TAESS00011, TAESS00019 or TAESS00024.
  • WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
