At Holmesglen’s Centre for Energy and Infrastructure, we’re powering Australia’s future workforce through cutting-edge training in the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) and major infrastructure projects like tunnelling. Now under refreshed leadership, our Civil, Safety and Industrial Skills department is driving innovation in civil construction, traffic management, and specialist safety training—covering everything from plant and equipment operations to high-risk licences such as confined space, working at heights, dogging, rigging, and crane operations. Designed with industry, our programs equip apprentices and trainees with the critical skills to keep infrastructure strong, safe, and future-ready.
The Education Manager leads Holmesglen’s ESI programs, including apprenticeships and VESI training, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and industry standards. As an Education Manager, you will:
- Oversee the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of innovative and high-quality Electrical Supply Industry (ESI) programs, including apprenticeships and VESI training, ensuring alignment with industry needs, client expectations, and Institute objectives.
- Recruit, induct, supervise, and support teaching and non-teaching staff. Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide professional development. Guide staff in classroom management, maintaining vocational competence, and developing engaging learning and assessment resources.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with ASQA standards, training packages, and Holmesglen’s Training and Assessment System. Ensure effective validation, moderation, audit readiness, and smooth implementation of training package transitions.
- Oversee learner administration processes such as enrolments, timetabling, pre-training reviews, and LLN assessments. Track learner progress, manage RPL and credit transfer applications, and implement support strategies to improve retention and completion.
- Manage operational tasks related to apprenticeships, including scheduling, attendance notifications, completions, and certification. Ensure all processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with compliance and performance targets.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a vocational area relevant to the department’s operations or approved equivalent tertiary qualifications.
- An approved course of adult teacher training accredited at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5 or AQF Level 6 with:
