About the Role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Lead Educator Plumbing to support the effective delivery of vocational education and training programs. This is a great opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, drive teaching excellence, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, assess and coordinate high-quality vocational education programs
- Mentor and support teaching staff across multiple programs
- Coordinate course administration including timetabling, enrolment planning, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
- Engage with industry and community stakeholders to enhance program relevance
- Promote a safe, inclusive and learner-centred environment
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and uphold Melbourne Polytechnic's values
Skills and Experience Required
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110)
- AQF Level 6+ qualification in adult or vocational education, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' industry experience in plumbing or related field
- Extensive teaching experience with strong understanding of learner-centred methodologies
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ICT skills
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate educational programs
- Knowledge of compliance, OH&S, and continuous improvement practices
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
