Opportunity: Commercial finance collections is great, because it is very business hours focused, so no late and weekend shifts. At this stage of business growth, future development opportunities are more likely than the old-school lenders.

Role: Is very much focused on early-stage collection calls, to pick up on recently missed payments. Addressing these issues quickly and early, plays an important role in: Getting the customer back on track. Maintaining a future relationship. While also minimising, any potential loss should a problem be recognised early.

“Early stage” are customers with arrears less than 90 days old. After this, they go to late stage: Tracing, Recovery and Legal action. As such, this is viewed as a customer service call, then future follow up action reveals future escalation.

Collections gets involved with many stakeholders across the business in Credit and Settlements, since problems in their area will reach you. You are the eyes and ears for Risk Management and portfolio performance.

Requirements: We will be looking for people who can best demonstrate the following skills and experience:

1. Prior Customer Service or Collections experience with a lending institution
2. Great communication, with a strong customer service ethic
3. Experience in Automotive finance, Asset finance, personal loans, business loans would be ideal
