We are an Australind based business seeking a part-time Bookeeper/Accounts Officer to join us. As an Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in the company's finance department, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, weekly payroll and reconcilling payments.

The role is 15-20 hours per week and can be worked over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What we're looking for

Relevant experience in a bookeeping or similar accounting role

Minimum 3 years of experience required

Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills

Proficient with xero accounting software

Full bookkeeping proficiency in xero required

Experience with payroll

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently

Accurate data entry and problem-solving skills

BAS qualification or similar will be looked upon very favourably

Australian citizenship required

What you'll be doing

Process and record accounts payable and receivable invoices in a timely manner

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies

Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions including purchase orders

Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts payable reports and payment runs

Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers as needed

Single touch Payroll, PAYG & Superannuation

Work with our contracted accounting firm to prepare BAS

Banking reconciliations
