Belong at Home (CHC) is seeking an enthusiastic, high performing, motivated and solutions focused person to join our Finance team, Monday to Friday, fulltime in Bunbury at our Corporate Office.

Belong at Home (CHC) is a highly respected not-for-profit local organisation providing a range of services to aged people and their carers throughout the “south west” with branches in Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Collie, Donnybrook and Bridgetown.

The role of the Finance Officer is to support the Finance Manager and finance team in the preparation and submission of the organization's deliverables, including:-

Accounts payable day to day processing and end of month.

Assist in accounts payable Support at Home claiming evidence.

Maintaining supplier and external provider relationships.

Support of reconciliation and calculation of monthly transactions for Home Care Packages (HCP) and balances (transitioning to Support at Home)

Quarterly reporting on client budget utilisation.

Fortnightly extraction and processing of payroll data reviewing reports for changes across six sites. Salary sacrifice reports reconciled and submitted to provider as part of the payroll process.

Working with other departments to facilitate the timely and correct exiting of clients for invoicing.

Provide input in the development and enhancement of the external provider transactions, monitoring and reporting on income vs expenditure.

Support the finance team where required for additional tasks where needed.

Skills & Experience

You will have excellent communication skills, an empathetic attitude and an understanding of older people and be solution focused.

Qualification in finance, accounting or bookkeeping is required.

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.

Ability to follow and propose improvements to processes and procedures.

A high attention to detail.

Strong ‘people’ skills and dedicated team player.

Passionate about the community with a positive attitude.

Advanced Excel skills.

A police clearance certificate is essential with annual flu vaccination.

Prior Xero experience an advantage.
