About the Role
Join Zenith Energy as a Costing Officer and play a crucial role within the project's team. The position is responsible for meticulously tracking project costs and ensuring strict adherence to the budget.
As the Costing Officer, you will support the Project Controller and the Projects team in effectively achieving their project cost reporting objectives, contributing to our initiatives' overall success and financial integrity.
This role is based at our Head Office in Rivervale, Western Australia, working standard office hours.
What You Will Do
- Monitor and control project spending to ensure adherence to the budget.
- Analyse financial data and accurately report on budgets and forecasts.
- Support the preparation of detailed monthly cost reports and variance analyses.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to verify and track purchase orders and invoices.
- Facilitate teamwork among cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Finance.
- Handle essential administrative duties related to cost control
What We Need from You
Experience
- Minimum two years of previous project cost exposure
- Experience in the Energy or Mining industry would be desirable
Skills/Knowledge
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
- A highly analytical approach with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Accounting skills
- Knowledge of Pronto and BI would be desirable
Qualifications/Certifications/Clearances
- Qualification in Business/Accounting or equivalent qualification would be desirable
