About the role
The Communications Officer assists the Marketing Communications Coordinator in carrying out the marketing and communications plan and ensuring all communications, publications and associated tasks are performed.

As a 0.6 FTE role, you will work three days per week (ideally Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and/or edit internal communications.
- Liaise with administration and teaching staff regarding the distribution of email communication.
- Assist with distribution of parent communications where required.
- Develop stories and copy for various publications, campaigns, promotional material, and traditional media.
- Contribute to the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content.
Essential Personal Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and to meet tight deadlines with competing priorities.
- Patience, sensitivity and flexibility when dealing with a range of situations and people, including the ability to respond to staff and student needs.
- Demonstrated ability of excellent written, interpersonal, communication and public relations skills.
- Ability to ensure high levels of confidentiality are maintained.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work practices and management strategies.
- Be able to demonstrate efficient organisational skills and initiative.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as the ability to work collaboratively and to encourage positive team commitment and contributions through his/her own commitment, enthusiasm, and energy.
- Attention to detail and thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- Ability to be flexible with working hours and duties.
- Experience in a similar role in a school is highly desirable.
