We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in Accounts Receivable to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Business Manager, you will play a key role in managing the College's Accounts Receivable function. This includes maintaining family and sundry accounts, ensuring financial records are accurate and current.
About the Role
School Finance Officer (Accounts Receivable) / ESO Grade 4
Permanent, Full Time (1.0 FTE)
37.5 hours a week, 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, 42 weeks per year during school terms
The successful applicant will:
Generate annual billing for all families
Liaise with families to negotiate fee support in line with College guidelines
Process and reconcile family fee adjustments
Maintain accurate accounts receivable records
Have strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills for family liaison
Prepare banking, cash handling and weekly reports of receipts for canteen and OSHC including financial reporting for leadership
Work confidently with minimal supervision and apply sound judgement to a range of finance and accounts receivable matters
Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable
Requirements
The successful candidate will hold:
Current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA
Current valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificate
Applicable First Aid Certificate
Certificate IV / Diploma in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Finance, Business (or equivalent) or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role
Minimum 3 years accounts receivable experience in a similar finance role
Proficiency in accounting software (CIVICA software is preferred but not essential) and advanced MS Office suite
Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or valid work visa with appropriate work rights
