Grand Pacific Health’s Medicare Mental Health Shellharbour Satellite Site is a PHN/Commonwealth funded program designed to provide a safe and welcoming entry point for people experiencing distress/crisis, and/or with moderate to high mental health needs. Medicare Mental Health Centre Shellharbour aims to provide high quality, evidence-based assessment, care coordination, information, support and treatment for people experiencing psychological distress, their family, carers and support networks. The service is intended to offer immediate, short to medium-term episodes of care and service navigation. The multidisciplinary mental health team will facilitate a holistic and collaborative approach to care which addresses a broad range of social, physical, and emotional needs. We are looking for a Provisional Psychologist who is undertaking or eligible to undertake the 5+1 APHRA internship program. We are offering Provisional Psychologist’s a comprehensive New Graduate Program within the Shellharbour Medicare Mental Health service. The Provisional Psychologist will work collaboratively with consumers and their family/carers to identify their support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. The incumbent will provide high quality biopsychosocial assessment, care coordination and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to Medicare Mental Health consumers. This position requires working closely with the other members of the team and external service providers and works to maximise care outcomes for people referred to the service. This is a part-time opportunity working 22.5 hours per week, fixed term contract to June 2026 What you'll need:
- Current or eligible for immediate Provisional Registration with AHPRA.
- Completed or close to completing a 5th year tertiary qualification in psychology.
- Eligible for or undertaking the 5+1 internship program.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills
