ABOUT US:

The Sydney Cognitive Development Centre (SCDC) is a leading private psychology and neuropsychology practice located in Bondi Junction, Sydney’s eastern suburbs. For almost two decades, we’ve supported children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of presentations — from anxiety, depression, and behavioural issues to neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and ASD. Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care within a nurturing environment. You’ll join a collaborative, heart-centred team of five psychologists who genuinely care about each other, their clients, and professional growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re seeking psychologists or clinical psychologists who are passionate about helping clients build resilience, insight, and emotional wellbeing. You’ll work with children, adolescents, or adults — whichever group you most enjoy — supporting them through challenges such as:

Anxiety, depression, anger, trauma and low self-esteem

Behavioural and oppositional issues (kids)

Social and emotional skill difficulties

Experience in helping people with attention skills and planning/organisation is preferred (but training and supervision is also available). An understanding of neurodiversity is important

Work from 1 day per week up to full-time

See only the age groups and presentations you’re most passionate about (can choose to see only children or adults, or work across the lifespan)

You’ll work closely with our neuropsychologists and psychologists and benefit from team consultation, mentoring, and a caring environment that values professional autonomy.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Experience in several different psychological interventions including CBT, and preferably ACT.

Parenting & family therapy skills (if working with children)

Full registration with APHRA as a psychologist

Eligibility to apply for Medicare

Working with Children Check

Strong clinical and interpersonal skills

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

Experience with people with ADHD and supporting them with attention & executive functioning

Social skills training

Parenting skills (if working with kids)

REMUNERATION:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience: $155–$190 per hour.
